Transdisciplinary Projects

Flying Mozart
Rundfunkchor Berlin meets Breaking in a powerful modern parable of life, death and hope:
»Flying Mozart« is a striking reinterpretation of Mozart’s Requiem, merging classical choral music with urban dance, electronic soundscapes and contemporary visual art.

Rote Messe
A performance of striking contrasts: Set against the raw, industrial backdrop of Berlin’s former three-phase power station MaHalla, we presented Gioachino Rossini’s »Petite Messe solennelle« in a bold production by Anna-Sophie Mahler. The result was a powerful reflection on our times — a narrative of shifting certainties, of threatened privilege, and a society on the verge of transformation.

human requiem
Rediscover the familiar: Together with Jochen Sandig and a team of the dance company Sasha Waltz & Guests Rundfunkchor Berlin stages a choreographed version of Brahms’ Requiem.

Time Travellers
We humans are time travellers. The world around us — and we ourselves — are constantly changing. Our transdisciplinary project »Time Travellers« embarked on just such a journey: through film, imagery, performance, and music, it explored the cycles of emergence and transience that shape our lives.

THE WORLD TO COME
With his »Missa solemnis«, Beethoven created one of the most monumental choral works of all time. We take this powerful composition as a point of departure for a concert installation that interweaves Beethoven’s music with contemporary musical currents — both from Europe and beyond.

LUTHER dancing with the gods
A genre-crossing project: The celebrated American director and the Rundfunkchor Berlin shone an unusual spotlight on Martin Luther.

LOVER
A West-Eastern love dialogue: Christian Jost’s »LOVER«, an intercultural work for ritual percussion and the human voice on the theme of love.
