About us
We make excellent choral music accessible to everyone.

The Rundfunkchor Berlin
Founded in 1929, with over 60 concerts a year and international guest appearances, the choir is one of the most outstanding choirs in the world. Three Grammy Awards alone attest to the quality of its recordings. Its broad repertoire, a flexible, richly nuanced sound and a gripping response make the Rundfunkchor a partner of major orchestras and conductors, including Kirill Petrenko, Daniel Barenboim, Sir Simon Rattle and Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
In Berlin, we work closely with the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin.
Our sound connects
The Rundfunkchor Berlin constantly rethinks and sings choral music. In this way, the musical greatness of this music is not only preserved, but can also be experienced by people for whom choral music is otherwise inaccessible. Just as many voices become one in a choir, our concerts create a connection between choir and audience, allowing music to be truly experienced together.
Together with numerous helpers behind the scenes, our 64 singers turn our musical visions into reality and carry them out into the world on the wings of sound. We make it possible for everyone to experience the thrill and excitement of choral music. Find out more about our history here.
