Mit seinem preisgekrönten Aushängeschild lädt der Rundfunkchor Berlin wieder in das Radialsystem ein. Jochen Sandigs Inszenierung von Johannes Brahms’ »Ein deutsches Requiem« berührt seit nunmehr 14 Jahren Zuhörer:innen auf der ganzen Welt zutiefst. Sie ist dabei aktueller denn je. Im Angesicht von unvorstellbarem Leid durch Kriege und einer Vielzahl an Krisen ist der Bedarf an Trost enorm. Und Brahms’ Requiem ist keine Messe für die Toten, nein, es soll den Lebenden genau diesen Trost spenden.

In a time marked by war and countless crises, the longing for comfort is profound. Brahms’s Requiem is not a traditional mass fort he dead; rather, it is meant to offer solace tot he living.

Das Radialsystem in Berlin ist ein Ort der Künste und des gemeinschaftlichen Handelns, an dem unterschiedliche Kulturtraditionen und Wissensformen in einen lebendigen Dialog treten.
