Rundfunkchor Berlin’s Schola
Being a professional choral singer for a week
From the 4th to the 16th of September 2018 the small ensemble will prepare and perform a demanding a cappella program under the direction of Benjamin Goodson, assistant to Rundfunkchor Berlin’s principal conductor, as part of Musikfest Berlin. The participants also gain insight into the work of a symphonic chorus by preparing Richard Wagners »Parsifal« and Claude Debussys »Le Martyre de Saint Sébastien« together with Rundfunkchor Berlin under Michael Alber and then performing it with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin under Robin Ticciati in the Berlin Philharmonie.
All participants receive a certificate of participation at the end of the week.

Rehearsals in Berlin’s Haus des Rundfunks (Broadcasting House)
Concerts on the 15th and the 16th in the St. Matthäus-Kirche and Philharmonie Berlin as part of Musikfest Berlin
Participation in the Schola is free of charge.
Participants are responsible for the cost of accommodation, but Rundfunkchor Berlin will pay travel expenses in the amount of a train ticket with BahnCard50.
The Friends and Sponsors of Rundfunkchor Berlin award a small stipend in the amount of € 90 per person and offer a limited number of private accommodations.
