We are thrilled that you’ll be joining us for the 2026 Sing-Along Concert! Together we’ll bring Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s »Paulus« to life – an unforgettable musical experience. Schedule – 17 May 2026
Procedure / Admission
- 8:30–9:30 a.m. – Admission to the Berlin Philharmonie
- 9:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. – Rehearsal with piano (Great Hall)
- 1:00–2:30 p.m. – Rehearsal with the Rundfunkchor Berlin, Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin & Deutsche Streicherphilharmonie
- 3:30 p.m. – Concert in the Great Hall
At the entrance, singers will receive wristbands, which must be worn throughout the day. Re-entry and participation are only possible with a valid wristband.
Seating
As in previous years, fixed seat reservations will apply.
Audience Tickets
Please note: Audience members with a singer’s ticket will not be admitted at the entrance check.
Concert Recording
Back by popular demand: Rundfunkchor Berlin will record the concert on 17 May 2026 and release it on CD.
- Price: €23 (including shipping)
- Orders can be placed on the day of the concert with the recording studio (cash only).
- Orders will be processed after the event and shipped two days later.
This CD is intended as a keepsake and can only be ordered on the day of the concert.
Cloakroom & Attire
Free cloakroom service is available at the Philharmonie. Formal uniform is not required, but please dress appropriately for the occasion. Participating choirs are warmly invited to wear their choir uniforms. Please note: We cannot provide cloakroom facilities for choir groups.
Catering
Food and drinks will be available throughout the day in the main foyer, provided by Gerresheim Catering.
Getting There
- S-Bahn: S1, S2, S25, S26 → Potsdamer Platz (10-minute walk)
- U-Bahn: U2 → Potsdamer Platz
- Bus: M48, M29, 200 (stops directly at the Philharmonie)
- By car: Parking available at Potsdamer Platz
Present Your Choir
Choirs are welcome to display information material at an assigned table in the main foyer.
Looking Ahead – Sing-Along Concert 2027
The next Sing-Along Concert will take place on 7 March 2027 under the direction of Simon Halsey. Registration opens in autumn 2026. We’ll share more details soon!
Would You Like To Rehearse Beforehand?
Church and Amateur Choirs
Independent choirs and amateur ensembles offer the chance to rehearse »Paulus« in advance. Please contact them directly to register.
Konzertchor Friedenau
Under the direction of Sergi Gili Solé, you will have the opportunity to prepare for the concert together with the Konzertchor Friedenau. You can register for the rehearsals at mitsingkonzert@gmx.de.
Rehearsal Schedule
Lukaskantorei
Rehearsals for the Lukas Kantorei choir usually take place on Thursdays from 7:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. (from January 2026, 7:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.) at St. Lukas Church, Kreuzberg, Bernburger Straße 3–5, 10963 Berlin. Due to the abundance of choral pieces, participation from the first date is recommended.

Rehearsal Schedule
Pre-Rehearsal With the Friends and Supporters’ Association

- Location: Haus des Rundfunks (Helmut-Koch-Saal)

This rehearsal is exclusively for members of the Friends’ Association. Participation is only possible with a valid membership number.
