About the »Walking Concert«

The importance of developing contemporary forms of performance in the cultural sector is growing, not only due to the pandemicevents. Innovative models that work beyond enclosed spaces and large gatherings of people are in demand.

»Walking Concert with Rundfunkchor Berlin« invites you to experience the ensemble in a venue that is not yet known: In the parks of Berlin. With the help of QR codes, we are taking the music by the Rundfunkchor out of concert halls and placing it directly in Berlin’s urban greenery. After scanning the QR code, it opens a link to a new piece of music. There is no set route or dramaturgy, so it is entirely up to you to explore the musical diversity of the Rundfunkchor on your own and discover it for yourself along the audio stations.

This project was developed in cooperation with the initiative »Zusammen sind wir Park« (“Together we are a park”) of the Senate Department for the Environment, Traffic and Climate Protection and Deutschlandfunk Kultur. Together we are committed to foster respect, appreciation and the responsible use of Berlin’s urban green spaces among its citizens.
