Staff Member in the Artistic Administrations Office (m/f/d, 100%)

The Rundfunkchor Berlin is seeking to fill the position of Staff Member in the Artistic Administrations Office (m/f/d) starting 1 August 2026 – apply now until 15 March 2026! This is a permament, full-time position (39 hours per week).

The Rundfunkchor Berlin is one of the world’s most renowned professional choirs. A three-time Grammy Award winner, the ensemble is a highly sought-after partner for leading orchestras and conductors around the globe. With its extraordinary concert projects, innovative performance formats and pioneering educational work, the choir sets standards in both the national and international music scene. Since 2015, the Dutch conductor Gijs Leenaars has served as the ensemble’s Principal Conductor and Artistic Director.

Responsibilities

– Scheduling of choir members and additional singers
– Organising and overseeing rehearsals, concerts and recordings, including on tour
– Organisation and supervision of auditions
– Communication with external promoters and organisers
– Managing concert logistics and ensuring smooth on-site operations
– Liaison with rehearsal conductors and guest conductors
– Preparing computer-based planning documents for the chorus management and ensemble
– Scheduling rehearsals in consultation with the chorus management
– Coordinating sheet music and concert attire for the ensemble
– Processing fee payments for additional singers, conductors, pianists and soloists
– Posting artistic vacancies via Muvac and general administrative duties

Requirements

– Strong interest in classical music, especially choral music
– Completed university degree or vocational training in a relevant field
– Initial professional experience, ideally in event or production management
– Sensitivity and a high level of interpersonal competence for working in an artistic environment
– Strong organisational and negotiation skills as well as excellent communication and team-working abilities
– Independent, solution-oriented working style
– Willingness to work flexible hours as required by the concert and touring schedule
– Willingness to accompany the choir on concert tours in Germany and abroad
– Confident use of MS Office programmes
– Experience with OPAS software is desirable
– Excellent command of both German and English
