Rundfunkchor Berlin features on Herbert Grönemeyer’s new album »Unplugged 2 • Von allem anders«

With its full vocal power, the Rundfunkchor Berlin is part of Herbert Grönemeyer’s new studio album »Unplugged 2 • Von allem anders«, released on 17 October 2025 by Universal Music. On eight tracks – including classics such as »Der Weg«, »Flugzeuge im Bauch« and »Zeit, dass sich was dreht« – the ensemble’s singers create striking new soundscapes for Grönemeyer’s songs.

The recordings were made in 2024 at the Haus des Rundfunks in Berlin, under the direction of Chief Conductor Gijs Leenaars and in close collaboration with Grönemeyer himself. The innovative choral arrangements by Philip Mayers and Alfred Kritzer blend the artist’s distinctive voice with the choir’s rich tonal palette – ranging from sacred a cappella passages to rousing stadium energy.

Following the studio experience, the collaboration continued on stage: in September 2025, twenty members of the Rundfunkchor joined Grönemeyer for live performances during his sold-out tour »Mittendrin Akustisch« in Dortmund and Berlin.
