Rainer Schnös

Rainer Schnös. Sänger im Rundfunkchor Berlin (Bass)

Born in Würzburg in 1964, Rainer Schnös studied piano with Felix Deichmann at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen and voice with William Workman and James Wagner at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg. He has been a member of the Rundfunkchor Berlin since 2001.​

He is also active as a composer, arranger, keyboard player and guitarist in a variety of projects, including the »Liederbörsenband«. He has written a cappella music for the Rundfunkchor Berlin (for example for the 2015 Christmas Concert in Berlin Cathedral), as well as film and theatre scores, and has created arrangements for WDR Rundfunkchor ((»Zimmer Frei!«, »Kommissar Krächz« and others), the Rundfunkchor Berlin (Liederbörse, Megaloh and more) and the Brandenburg Youth Choir (»Lieder für’s Land« for rbb Kultur). His arrangement of John Lennon’s »Give Peace a Chance«, recorded by the Rundfunkchor Berlin and produced by rbb, has attracted more than 19,000 views on YouTube and is published by Ries & Erler.
