Melanie Dreher
Melanie Dreher was born in Bad Saulgau in Upper Swabia. She studied voice at the Hochschule für Musik Stuttgart with Carmen Mammoser, while at the same time training to become a secondary-school teacher in music and geography. She went on to complete a Master’s degree at the Hoschule für Musik in Würzburg, where she worked with Daniela Sindram, and further honed her artistry in masterclasses with Margreet Honig, Christa Ludwig, Sylvia Geszty and Julie Kaufmann.
At the 2nd International Singing Competition of the Accademia Belcanto in Graz she received a special award for musicality in 2016, and in 2014 she won first prize at the International Chamber Choir Competition in Mosbach as a member of the Chamber Choir of the Musikhochschule Stuttgart.
