Georg Streuber
Georg Streuber studied classical voice with Matthias Weichert at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden, where he also worked in the song class of Ulrike Siedel and Olaf Bär and attended masterclasses with guest tutors such as Gerold Huber, Peter Schreier, Evelyn Herlitzius and Camilla Nylund. After graduating in 2013 he continued his vocal development with Magdaléna Hajóssyová, Allison Oakes and, since 2018, Verena Rein.
In 2011 he won first prize at the International Duschek Competition in Prague, and in 2012 he received the special prize for song interpretation at the International Lions Singing Competition in Bad Endorf, Bavaria. Since 2003 song recitals, oratorio and symphonic concerts have been the focus of his career, with performances under conductors such as Christian Kluttig, Peter Schreier, Simon Halsey, Georg Christoph Biller, Hermann Max, Guillermo García Calvo, Carlo Montanaro and Robin Ticciati. Recital invitations have taken him not only to concert halls across Germany but also to the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Romania.
Guest engagements have included appearances at opera houses and festivals in Dresden, Aschaffenburg, Berlin, Bad Hersfeld, Chemnitz, Fulda and Plauen/Zwickau. He has been a member of the Rundfunkchor Berlin since 2018 and sang in the Bayreuth Festival Chorus from 2012 to 2018. Among his recordings is the 2022 CD »Seel an Seele«, with alto Roksolana Chraniuk (also a member of the Rundfunkchor Berlin) and pianist Mai Yakushiji, which places songs by Ukrainian composer Vasyl Barvinsky alongside works by Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss.
