The children in SING! groups are invited to bring their own tradition to the selection of songs. In multi-cultural Berlin, this yields an especially wide variety – and, as a by-product: tolerance and mutual respect.

SING! is multi-cultural and multi-faceted – just like Berlin itself. The children bring songs of their own choosing to the SING! groups. Favourite songs, which they know from home and are free to sing in their mother tongue or that of their parents or grandparents.
And, if possible, musicians from the respective cultures come to the choir sessions and presents the songs “in the original”. The children find this very exciting.
It results in a colourful, multi-lingual treasury of songs. And it creates tolerance for other cultures and languages and mutual respect – fostered by SING! without any preaching or moralizing.
