WHO?
In September 2006 the Berlin LeaderChor was constituted in the German capital, as a spin-off of the Rundfunkchor’s highly successful Sing-Along Concerts. With a maximum of 50 members, it is designed for leaders in politics, business, science, medicine, law, culture and media who enjoy choral singing of a high standard but may not have the time to commit themselves to a regular schedule of rehearsals and performances.
WHAT?
The LeaderChor meets once a year for an extended project weekend in Berlin. Under the inspiring direction of chief conductor Simon Halsey, and with the participation of members of Rundfunkchor Berlin, ambitious choral works are prepared thoroughly and performed at a gala concluding concert in a specially selected venue.
Framing the chorus workshop is a comprehensive programme of discussions, encounters, podium talks and the attendance of a rehearsal for an upcoming concert of the Rundfunkchor Berlin.
WHEN?
The next Berlin LeaderChor will take place from 5-8 November 2009. The application form can be found here (in a German version only).
