Michael Timm was born in Gütersloh (Westphalia) and studied music education and singing in Detmold and Freiburg. After completing his studies he was active as a freelance singer (including with West German Radio and RIAS Berlin).
Engaged by Rundfunkchor Berlin in 1991, Timm has shown extraordinary versatility in different genres. In addition to chamber-vocal engagements he has recorded solo lieder by Adolf Fredrik Lindblad for the MDG label.
Michael Timm is a member of the ensemble Vokalzeit.
