Oliver Gawlik sang in the Staats- und Domchor of his native Berlin before studying singing at the Hochschule (now Universität) der Künste.
After completing his studies he began his career as a freelance singer (principally with the RIAS Kammerchor and SWR-Chor). Following an engagement at the Komische Oper in Berlin from 1994-96, he joined Rundfunkchor Berlin.
Oliver Gawlik is also active as a concert singer and a member of several renowned ensembles, including the male quartet Vokalzeit and Melodie Masters.
