
Roksolana Chraniuk was born in Warsaw and studied singing from 2003-07 with Elisabeth Werres at Berlin’s Universität der Künste. Since 2007 she has continued her vocal training with Verena Rein.
Her repertoire embraces alto parts ranging from Baroque to modern, including Handel’s Messiah and Dixit Dominus, Bach’s Magnificat, the Vivaldi Gloria, the Oratorio de Noël by Saint-Saëns and Guai ai gelidi mostri by Luigi Nono as well as the role of Oberon in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She took part in the bel canto festival “Rossini in Wildbad”, where she sang the part of Errico in Giuseppe Balducci’s 1834 opera I gelosi.
Chraniuk was an audience choice for the Bel Canto Prize at the Fifth “Rossini in Wildbad” Festival and a grant recipient of the Paul Hindemith Society of Berlin and the Richard Wagner Society of Berlin-Brandenburg. She has also participated in various masterclasses, including those of Raul Gimenez, Krisztina Laki and Peter Berne.
Roksolana Chraniuk began her association with Rundfunkchor Berlin as a guest artist in 2007. She has been a permanent member of the ensemble since August 2008.
