Christina Seifert was born into a family of church musicians in Zella-Mehlis (Thuringia) and grew up surrounded by music. She studied singing and recorder at the Liszt Musikhochschule in Weimar and completed her studies in 1986 in both disciplines with a concert and musical pedagogy diploma.
While still a student, Seifert auditioned as an alto for Rundfunkchor Berlin and was immediately engaged. She also gives concerts and private lessons both in singing and on the recorder.
Christina Seifert is dedicated with equal passion to her artistic and pedagogical callings. Since 1989 she has been vocal trainer at the Berlin Singakademie, and since 2002 has taught singing at the Paul Dessau Secondary School in Zeuthen. In summer 2007 she was appointed to teach singing by the Lausitz Hochschule in Cottbus.
Christina Seifert lives with her husband and their two children in Eichwalde, near Berlin.
