Born in Dresden, Bianca Reim studied French and music education at the University of the Arts and Humboldt University in Berlin as well as at the conservatory in Geneva. Her singing teachers included Bettina Spreitz-Rundfeldt and Uta Fabricius, augmented by master courses from, among others, Ingrid Figur, Susanne Rydén and Peter Kooij. She has also been a pianist and répétiteur at the Berlin Staatsoper and in independent theatrical productions.
Reim appears regularly as a concert soloist throughout Germany in a repertoire ranging from early Baroque lute songs and the great oratorios to contemporary compositions. She has a special fondness for the literature of the 17th and 18th centuries, which she pursues with renowned early music ensembles.
Bianca Reim has sung regularly in such choruses as the Stuttgart Chamber Choir under Frieder Bernius, the Leipzig Gewandhaus Chamber Choir under Morton Schuldt-Jensen and vocal modern under Christfried Brödel.
Since 2005 she has been a permanent member of Rundfunkchor Berlin. She also belongs to the Amalien Ensemble, a formation within the Radio Chorus.
